Aftercare
Treatment aftercare
Everything you need to know about caring for your skin after your appointment including what to expect, what to avoid and when to contact me.
Simply find your treatment below. If I’ve sent you here following your appointment, begin with the short version, then return to the full guidance when you have a little more time.
Six groups
Find your treatment
If you’ve had more than one thing done in the same appointment, follow the more cautious of the two.
- FacialsFor every facial on the menu, including K-Beauty. Mild warmth, a night off, and SPF in the morning.Intentions by Hanaà · K-Beauty Facial · Massage and drainage work
- Chemical peelsTightness first, flaking around day two or three. The whole job is to let it come away on its own.Dermalogica MelanoPro Peel · EXO-NAD Skin Longevity Peel · Enzyme and resurfacing peels
- MicroneedlingRedness like mild sunburn for a day or two, then dryness. Nothing on your skin but what I gave you.Medical Microneedling (Dermapen 4) · Collagen induction courses
- K-Beauty resurfacingPrickling for the first few hours, peeling from day two. Don’t rub your face. The spicules are still in it.KRX Green Sea Peel · CellStory Liquid Microneedling · Spicule resurfacing
- Body treatmentsWater, loose clothes, and no hot bath tonight. Body skin sheds more slowly than the face, so give it longer.Maderotherapy · Body Peel · Stretch Mark Rejuvenation
- Injectable treatmentsGeneral guidance after skin boosters and polynucleotides, on the face or the body. Small bumps and bruising are ordinary.Skin Boosters · Polynucleotides · Polynucleotide Eyes · Skin Boosters Body · Polynucleotides Body
Whatever you had done
True of everything
Four things apply after every treatment I do. They’re here once rather than on all six pages, where they’d stop being read.
- SPF, every morning
Any treatment that resurfaces, drains or stimulates leaves skin more vulnerable to UV for a fortnight. Without daily SPF, most of what we do together is undone quietly. You never see it happen.
- Hands off
No picking, no squeezing, no inspecting in a magnifying mirror. Almost every mark I’m asked to treat started as something that would have gone on its own.
- Nothing new this week
Don’t start a new product in the days after a treatment. If something reacts, neither of us will know which of the two caused it.
- Message me rather than guess
I answer messages between clients. If something doesn’t look right to you, it’s worth asking about. No question has ever annoyed me.
Any worries
If something doesn’t look right
If you’re concerned about anything following your treatment, please text me ideally with a clear photograph. I would always rather take a look straight away than wait until your next appointment.
Once your skin has settled, we can repeat the treatment or gently progress to the next step, depending on how your skin has responded. Both options can be booked through my online diary.
Or call 07525 438309, or email hanaa@theprioryroom.com.
